Penguin Acrostic Poem

As you all know, Room 2 have been looking closely at Antarctica over the past few weeks. On Tuesday and Wednesday some of the Room 2 children wrote acrostic poems about Penguins. The children did an amazing job with their writing. Here they are.

Penguins can swim in water
Eat fish
Not good at flying
Good at swimming
Under the ice
I know that penguins can get eaten
Never fly

By Arie

Penguins had two babies
Eat fish
Nest
Good swimmers
Under the water
Ice
No flying

By Christina

Penguins swim in water
Eat fish
Nests
Great at swimming
Under water
Is cold
Never throw rubbish

By Tylah

Penguins don't eat whales
Eggs
Not good at flying
Good at jumping off ice
Under the water
I like penguins
Not eat seals

By James

Penguins catch fish
Eat fish
Not good at flying
Going to the iceberg
Up on the ice
Is swimming in the water
No (know) that they swim

By Keah

Penguins catch fish
Eggs
Not flying
Great at swimming
Under the water
In the water
Never bang into the ice

By Oscar

Penguins swim
Eggs
Not good at flying
Good at swimming
Up on iceberg
I don't throw rubbish
Never catch seals
So cute

By Pyepper

Penguins swim in the water
Emperor penguins
Nice penguins
Good penguins
Under the water
I love penguins
Noisy penguins
